Wine Cellar Cooling Systems

Wine cellar cooling systems come in several different styles.

We will discuss your wine cellar design and recommend the cooling system that will be best for your specific cellar design.

The first one many recognize and help keep people within budget is the through the wall system.  It’s a one piece unit that you slide through the wall and exhaust the air out the back side to a room that equivalent in size and temperature to ensure proper cooling.  If you exhaust to a smaller room or a room that stays over 85 degrees, your unit will not cool properly.   The best way to use these units is to exhaust the hot air out of the home completely so there are no worries.

Another type of cooling unit is the one piece ducted unit.  Sit this unit in any garage, wine-guardian-ducted-systemmechanical room or attic and any other place you have room for it except outside, and you got a quiet and mechanically sound cooling unit.

Then comes the split system.  You will need a licensed refrigeration tech to install this one and to service it in the future.  It’s installed in two different places.  The condenser platinum_mini_split_front3qunit sits outside and the air handler is either in the wine cellar itself or in another room and from there it’s ducted in.  Between each unit there is line-set that has copper lines that carries refrigerant and a condensate line that carries any moisture way.

Many to choose from, but that’s why I’m here to help make the right choice for your Wine Cellar in North Carolina and South Carolina.
