Design, racking, doors and cooling. One team.
A cellar is four jobs that have to agree with each other. We do all four, so the racking fits the room, the door fits the racking and the cooling fits the lot of it.

Custom Wine Cellar Design
Every cellar begins with a conversation in your home. We measure the space, talk through the collection and how you like to entertain, and then draw the room to scale so you can see it, change it and approve it before anything is built.
How the design stage works
Complimentary on-site consultation
Tim visits your home, walks the space and listens. There is no charge and no obligation.
Dedicated CAD team
Your cellar is drawn to scale by our dedicated CAD team, down to each rack and bottle position.
2D or 3D models
In color or black and white, so you can walk the room on paper before a single board is cut.

Custom Wine Racking
Racking gives the room its character and the bottles their place. We build in three families and combine them freely in one cellar, always to the exact dimensions of your space.
Three families of racking
Furniture-style wood
Alder, walnut, mahogany and maple, stained or painted, with the detail of fine cabinetry.
Metal and cable
Floor-to-ceiling black metal, pegs and rods that let the bottles float off the wall.
Acrylic
Clear cradles and illuminated back walls that make the collection itself the display.

Custom Wine Cellar Doors
The door is the first thing a guest notices and the part of the room that works hardest to keep the climate inside. We design it with the cellar rather than after it, and we handle the finishing and installation ourselves.
What we take care of
Designed with the room
Sized and styled to the entrance and to the racking behind it.
Finishing
Finished to match the cellar inside and the home outside.
Installation
Hung and sealed by our own team, so the cold stays where it belongs.

Cooling Systems
A beautiful room still has to hold a steady temperature and humidity. We size the system to the cellar and fit it as part of the build, together with insulation and humidity control. There are three common types of system; here is when each one fits.
Three ways to cool a cellar
Through-wall unit
A one-piece unit set into the cellar wall. It needs a suitably sized space on the other side of the wall to exhaust warm air into. The simplest installation when the cellar backs onto a larger room or utility space.
Ducted one-piece unit
The unit sits remotely, usually in a garage or attic, with ducts carrying cool air to the cellar and back. Mechanical noise stays out of the room, so this is the choice when quiet matters or there is no adjoining space for an exhaust.
Split system
A separate condenser outside the house and an air handler inside the cellar, or ducted to it. The most flexible option for larger rooms and awkward layouts; it is installed by a licensed refrigeration technician.
Not sure which you need?
That is what the first visit is for. Tim looks at the space, the collection and the house around it, and tells you plainly what will work. Call or text (336) 686-6343, or request a consultation.
